His name is a synonym for success, with a unique one-and-only show record - BAANDEROS! How many championships has he achieved? Maybe more than any other stallion ever before! He is a multiple International Champion throughout Europe and the Middle East, and collected unnumerable champion ribbons as a junior and in senior age - crowned to the very top at the All Nations Cup Aachen as well as being the 2008 World Champion Colt and 2010 World Champion Stallion in Paris. Did he ever lose? Not really - whenever he turned out, he succeeded and won. Only a very few times he was beaten to be "only" a Reserve Champion - for example in Qatar in 2009 when he was Reserve Champion Stallion to his own sire, the famous Marwan Al Shaqab. Or at the First International Al Khalediah Show in 2008, his own home place, when QR Marc was the most talked-about young stallion of those days due to his huge purchase prize and won the class with BAANDEROS second to him and Reserve Champion Colt. The same was a very few months later at the Elran Cup. Later on it turned out that BANDEROS always won Gold - so for example 2010 in Menton, Aachen and Paris.
BAANDEROS impresses in his charisma, type, very well balanced body, his well set and elegant neck and his outstanding overall quality. Having been in consistent show training since his earliest days, he always poses in the stand up nearly perfectly and whenever he is asked and demanded for by a handler. His smart, nice and well behaving early "baby mind" has matured into that of a stallion's but in best manner, with a human friendly disposition but without any lack of masculine appearance or spirit. After his last win, the 2010 Gold Stallion title at the Paris World Championships, BANDEROS returned back home to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to have a rest from all the shows and his show life, to reside at the stallion barn. He takes his daily exercise, walking throughout the farm in a row with the other stallions at the Al Khalediah Farm, and although he is the last in line when walked, he dominates the whole field and group. He prances and screams at the hand of his groom who knows and loves him, and knows that he never will bring him in trouble. And BAANDEROS simply shows off the others stallion who 'the boss' is - especially when passing the mare and foal paddocks. It is a just wonderful picture and movie flash to watch how BAANDEROS turns out himself.
The above picture was taken just two weeks ago at the Al Khalediah Farm in Saudi Arabia - and it shows BAANDEROS in one of those happy moments. He looks fantastic even out of show conditionning, better than ever, and it is fun to watch him in those moments and actions and you don't want to stop looking to him then - a real stallion and beauty, a true pleasure! |
