Wow - what a horse, what a moment, what a picture! Taken in Saudi Arabia, this picture was used to decorate the front cover of the DIAHC 2006 show catalogue. It shows the stallion WADIM IBN SHARKASSOW enjoying his time in the desert, playing around and expressing himself in the only way he can and in best mood! Without a doubt: he is a stallion, a true stallion! He looks so powerful, explodes in one moment, and then in the next moment, he is the most wonderful and handsome character. Twice he has been the winner of the "Most Beautiful Head" class at the Qatar International Show, and now, being snow white, he presents himself as a fully matured beauty.
WADIM IBN SHARKASSOW was bon in 1997, and he is bred in Denmark. Since end of the 90s, he has been owned by the "King Abdul Aziz Arabian Horse Center" (KAAHC), the formerly named "Dirab Arabian Horse Center", an equestrian center that is part of the Ministry of Agriculture and offers many horse activities. Among the studbook registry, show jumping and endurance riding activities, Dirab also runs a breeding programme for purebred Arabian horses as well as a specific programme to preserve the old Saudi Desert bred lines.
WADIM's pedigree shows three times the 'Danish' sire EL MOKARI, a 1981 son by EL SHAKLAN, and out of the HADBAN ENZAHI daughter MOHENA, and this pedigree makes him a two year older full brother to the well known stallion and sire, SANADIK EL SHAKLAN.
WADIM's sire SHARKASSOW is a paternal as well as maternal grand son of EL MOKARI, and also WADIM's dam, the 1993 born WALEWSKA, is a daughter of EL MOKARI.
