KAJORA was born in 1979, bred by Tom Chauncey Arabians, in USA. As Junior Mare she became U.S. National Champion Mare, before she was sold to Al Shaqab Stud Qatar and she was imported to this desert emirate in late 1994, when she was already 15 years in age. Neverthless, KAJORA created a dynasty thenafter that is really breathtaking.

When the bay mare arrived to Qatar, she had already been bred and in foal to the straight Egyptian RUMINAJA ALI son, ANAZA EL FARID, who had won Champion Stallion at the Egyptian Event in Lexington that year.
In 1995, KAJORA gave birth to her first foal in Qatar, and this was the most prominent and most successful stallion and sire GAZAL AL SHAQAB, known all over the world by his own show records since he was a yearling, as well as for being a great producer and sire of most successful and most influential horse, such as for example, double World, European, Aachen and U.S. Champion Colt , MARWAN AL SHAQAB, the lovely "Triple Crown" winner of Aachen, European and World Champion Filly, PIANISSIMA, and many others. GAZAL AL SHAQAB himself took many national and international champion titles, amongst them major titles in the Middle East, All Nations Cup Champion, European Champion, World Champion, Scottsdale Champion, and U.S. National Champion.

After this first foal in Qatar, KAJORA was bred to the straight Egyptian stallion SAFIR (Salaa el Dine x Aisha/ Ansata Halim Shah x Ghazallah) and gave birth in 1995 to the wonderful NEGMA AL SHAQAB, a mare of wonderful balance, substance, size, with a long elegant neck, and a beautiful face. Each time shown, she was in the top rankings, and she also produced some very nice foals for Al Shaqab. At the end of 2005, she left for the U.S. to stay for some time with Michael Byatt in Texas.

When GAZAL AL SHAQAB and his even equal famous stable mate, the straight Egyptian AL AADEED AL SHAQAB were old enough for breeding, KAJORA was bred to AL AADEED for a lovely, dark bay filly named HATHFA AL SHAQAB. HATHFA was born in 1999 and resembles very much her grand dam combining with the elegance and lovely face from her sire's side. She later became Qatar National Champion. Two years later, a full brother was born, the grey KAJORA son MUNDHER AL SHAQAB, also by Al ADEED AL SHAQAB, a compact young stallion and really great mover. MUNDHER was shown at the Qatar shows, and achieved twice the title as Qatar National Reserve Champion Colt, in 2002 and in 2004. In 2006 he was shipped to the U.S. where he will stay for a while at Michael Byatt's place and represents his and GAZAL's dam, KAJORA, and his sire, Al AADEED AL SHAQAB.

KAJORA, who si a very much Kuhaylan typed horse, was shown in Qatar only once. This was at the International Arabian Horse show in 1995, proudly presented by the famous American actor, Patrick Swayze. All attention went to this couple and team during the class and line-up, not only because of the famous person handling the mare, but also because KAJORA gave a endless long swan neck and great poll, that is not seen this way too often with a stallion, but nearly never with a mare. KAJORA really HAS this neck, and curves out the shape like a swan with a very free throat and a wonderful neck. This is exactly what she also passes to her progeny, something we saw many times with GAZAL AL SHAQAB, too, who has the same wonderful style using his neck and poll like his dam did.

KAJORA created a dynasty, and created a worldwide influence through her son GAZAL AL SHAQAB and her grand son MARWAN AL SHAQAB that is truely unique. She might be one of the most, maybe THE most important broodmares of our day today.
